Turaki of Ilorin expresses grief over Sheikh Jamalu-Deen Agodi’s death

The Turaki of Ilorin and Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Saliu Mustapha, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a revered Muslim cleric and leader of Markaz Taaleemil-arobiyyah wal Islamiyyah, Agodi, Sheikh Muhammad Jamaalu Deen Yahyah Murtadoh Agodi.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Nasif Sholagberu, Senator Mustapha described the historian’s death as saddening, noting that his contributions to Islamic scholarship and the Muslim community would not be forgotten.

The Turaki of Ilorin extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the family of the late scholar, his Markaz family, the IEDPU and the wider Muslim community.

He also noted the significance of the scholar’s passing during the sacred last ten days of Ramadan, emphasizing that his legacy of knowledge and devotion would be long remembered.

While praying for Allah’s mercy upon the departed soul, Senator Mustapha asked Allah to forgive Sheikh Yahyah Agodi’s shortcomings and grant him Aljanat Firdaus.
